XMAS GIFTS, XMAS TREES, XMAS IS TIME TO PLEASE

Looking for Christmas inspiration? No worries SelfPackaging is here to help you.

Because we adore handmade, we suggest you some ideas to make your ‘packagings’ look nicer with no need to spend money.

Search in your old cupboard things to put on the box. We went to our grandma’s home and we came across a box plenty of spare buttons. Pick and paste some of them on the gift box to decorate it. We form a Christmas tree with them. And do you know who’s going to be the final owner of this cute box? Why not the person who offered her material to decorate it? Make your grandma happy! Christmas is family time! ;)

Or maybe these spare lace edgings that once she used to make curtains… Everything is valuable! Just trust on your imagination.

We’re sick and tired to see the same Christmas colours… red, white, gold, silver, green… Enough is enough… Let’s innovate! We took light blue to say ‘I love you’ or 'how special and magic is the person you love’ at Christmas! Which colour would you like to pick?

OK, we know some of you are not ‘blue supporters’ at Christmas! For the ones that prefer Santa’s colours, we suggest you some of our jingle pendants to give a touch of Christmas magic.

At last but not least, we propose you an original decoration. Take advantage of these colour sprays that once you bought for something that you barely remember. Cut cardboard stars and paint them with colour sprays, we chose white, matching with a lace edgings serigraphy.

Looking forward to receiving your ideas!! Happy early Christmas! In two days we’re in December. Have you made your DIY advent calendar?

MADE WITH CARTON

If it’s hard to think about your Christmas gifts and decorations, Self Packaging wants you to make it a little bit easier. How? The perfect packaging for your presents or simply don’t waste your time thinking about Christmas decorations.

Our star gift box is the suitable box for your Christmas presents, it’s perfect for jewellery, chocolates or your knick-knacks you can’t resist to buy in Christmas markets. At our office we have to confess that the use of the star has been another one, very different. All the employees have hanged their star up on our Christmas tree with a wish for the next year inside. We will cross our fingers, hope our wishes will come true.

This year Rudolph isn’t at the North Pole, he is among us. A tip, let your children make the decoration on it, they will enjoy painting a red nose on it. This way they are going to participate in the Christmas decorations.
But because we haven’t got our children at work we decided to decorate the reindeer by ourselves, we wrap it up in white lights. Easy and smart, what else do we need?

Of course, you’re right we need a Christmas tree as well! But this year there’s no need to get all your home floor dirty! This year just take the Self Packaging one, easy to make, easy to clean, easy to get (www.selfpackaging.com).

But if you’re a Christmas conservative person, and you prefer the real one, we accept it, but the thing you can’t miss is our small box in Christmas tree shape. One of the must-have this Christmas, how cute it could be all the Christmas tree surrounded by Self Packaging Christmas tree boxes and Self Packaging star boxes hanged on it.

But as we always say, YOU are the most important thing for us, and you are the one who has the power to create. Lucía from www.baballa.com sent us this cute pic of her Christmas tree box. Her child is decorating it to make an advent calendar. We love it!

Apart from handmade and crafts, we are animal lovers as well. That’s why we created some friends for Rudolph: our well-known Rabbit named Packito and a Squirrel without any name. Is there any name that pops into your mind for it?
These gift boxes are going to delight your kids. And after that we’re sure they are going to take part of your kids’ rooms. See how lovely it looks in one of our followers child’s room (Bea from http://www.conbotasdeagua.com/)

Christmas is time for family gatherings but Self Packaging wants you to immortalize all these happy moments. By the moment we’re not designing cameras yet but we design these cute photo frames for you and your family portraits.

There’s no –familiy or friends- gathering without food. A table plenty of delicatessen, mmmm… it’s almost dinner time and you can notice I’m hungry. We have this lovely stand to put your starters, desserts or whatever you want for making your cooked or baked food look nicer. In a short period we can also introduce you our cake exhibitor.

But if you’re really design lover, we’re sure you’re going to adore these cardboard squares and vases, we’re looking forward to seeing what ideas you have for that, we have some but keep them inside our pocket at the moment: stationery stuff in it, to decorate your fav corner...

So many options!!! But we’re sure that you’ve already picked your favourite one! For Christmas or anytime, any occasion is a great occasion for making your life more lovely with SelfPackaging.
Long live the handmade!!

MMMMM....YUMMY!!!

This weekend is going to take place one of the most 'yummy events' in Barcelona, BCN&Cake. SelfPackaging is going to be there to make more beautiful your lovely cakes, muffins and cupcakes… All your sweety things fit perfectly in one of our party boxes. Because we are as sweet as you are…
Here we suggest you some ideas but you are the real artist, we’re sure that you can surprise us.

Make a label and write on it the sweetest message for the sweetest person. Take the most cute cupcacke and put into one of our individual cupcake boxes. Or if you have a few friends to share these colourful muffins we can design for you a box suitable for them.

A party? A baby shower? Don’t worry you can put your cupcakes or cakes on one of our exhibitors to look nicer.

And from this moment on you can add all kind of ribbons (don’t forget to watch our Youtube Channel named SelfPackaging and discover how many ways there are to tie them)

Next week we’re going to show you some pics of the cake fair… but we couldn’t wait for showing you our new arrivals.

Enjoy them! Next week available on our website.

DIY ADVENT CALENDARS

Advent calendars are not new, they are a German Nineteenth Century invention. German protestant children counted down the days to get to the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas.

Nowadays this tradition has been popularized around the world, and no matter which beliefs you have, where you are from or the young you are.
But there’s no need to buy one, you can customize one by yourself.

SelfPackaging is going to help you in this business. We are showing you how you can create your DIY advent calendar with small boxes.

December is coming and the counting down is almost here. That’s why we suggest two kinds of advent calendar, choose whichever you want, or even better make your own version of them. It would be nice to see your creations.

Our first example is made with our small box 1506_S, lovely, small and squared. Are you thinking how you are going to fill them in? Mmmmm… Chocolates? Sweets? Little toys?

Its size lets you pile them, let your imagination flow: a pyramid, hanged on your Christmas tree…
Easy to make: pick your favourite number typography, small boxes, a black pen, natural cord and our Jingle pendants to give it a Christmas touch.
And ready to start… open each small box every day from 1st December on.

Our second suggestion is about hanging them on the wall, very useful if your home is small or you have a lack of space, as everybody nowadays. This one takes no space! For that reason we have chosen our jewellery-must box whose reference number is 1614.
You can select the colour that inspires you: we have chosen gold! Where in the world gold is not related to Christmas?
Once we did it, we added some details such as cord or reindeer jingle pendants.

To make it funnier, we can hang them out of order and children will enjoy looking for the days.

How did we make it? Take a puncher, make a hole at the corner, put a cord through it… and there you go. Just stamp the number on a label or even better, practise your drawing abilities writing the number on it. Do you still have cord? Create some details with this material.

Looking forward to seeing your creations!!! Choose your favourite small box and let your talent flow!

WHAT IS HIDDEN BEHIND SELF PACKAGING WALLS...

First of all, before writing any post, we would like to introduce you all our crew and how we work.
We have our headquarters in Barcelona, near the Sagrada Familia. We don’t know if it’s due to Gaudi’s inspiration that we have the power of designing.

And what do we design?

The people responsible for designing are our amazing staff: creating 8 hours a day, being of good cheer, sharing craft ideas and it’s basically a girl’s power. I feel sorry for the incipient amount of males at our office, this is the girls’ kingdom.

We know you like gossiping, that’s why we open our studio doors to show you what is hidden behind SelfPackaging walls.

Laura is touching up some photos: a SelfPackaging box always looks much better if it is under Laura’s power.

Music inspires us.

Did I tell you that we have animals in our staff? Packito, our rabbit box, is telling us its ideas for next Easter.

Creating, smiling, designing… The SelfPackaging formula.

‘Games console’ remote control is switched on. Ready to cut.

It’s shooting time: Mireia’s hands are the most skilled ones at our office.
